Getting Started

Welcome

Hello Soldier and warm welcome to the Battlefield Community League!

New on the community? No problem, here are some basics to get you started.

What do I have to do to get into league matches

First of all you need to have a team. You can try to apply to an existing team or bring in your own team.

Creating your own team to BCL

1) Register a player to http://battlefieldcommunityleague.com – pls use your gamer tag to register, we need to verify the roster in game to the one on BCL site.
2) Login with your user and create your clan
3) Ask your team members to create an user and apply to your clan

That’s it – your team is in! Now in general a team must prove itself by playing challenge matches. Make sure the opposing team in the challenge rates you, since you need the rating points to be able to join a league.

Usually new teams get’s into Leagues from the beginning of a new season. Occasionally we are replacing dropout teams mid-season and someone from the wait list might get in during a season.

If you don’t have a team, but would be interested in joining one, you can apply to existing clans if they are recruiting. It would be advisable to contact the team upfront, best way for that would be our Discord server

BCL Discord Server

The BCL Discord server is an online communication channel for BCL registered users. To get full access to Discord BCL content you must have the registered label for your user. To get registered in Discord you need to be registered to BCL.

Please use the same nick in Discord as on BCL website. It’s important for BCL and the whole community to recognise people we are communicating. Please use following format for Discord user: [ClanID] NickName. If you are already on Discord with a different nick or you make a mistake while registering you can always ask an Admin to change your nick on BCL Discord server – there is a specific channel #registration for nick change requests.

When you first register to our Discord server, please ask on #registration for a registered label after you have registered on the BCL site. An Admin will check that your nick is registered to the BCL site. Once granted you gain access to member only areas.

Important considerations when registering for Discord

  • Please keep your nick in BCL Discord exactly the same as your player nick you have registered to BCL website (that should be the same as your in game nick)
  • The correct format of the Discord nick is [team tag]GamerNick.
  • You can ask admins to change your team tag and ask for BCL Registered label on #registration channel on BCL Discord Server
  • Please do not change your Discord nick from the guidelines above or you might loose your BCL Registered label

Some important channels on the BCL Discord server:

League Games

Once you have your team up and running you probably want to attend to the leagues. BCL hosts several leagues for different game modes, platforms and continents. Before each league season there is a registration period when teams can apply to the leagues.

Entering a league

You can find open leagues by selecting Leagues from the top menu and select your desired platform PS4/XB1/PC. The leader of a team can apply to a league, by selecting ”Join League” button.

When the registration period ends, the BCL admins creates the groups and schedules the fixtures for selected teams. If your team was selected to the league you can find your match schedule from your league/group page on BCL site.

Playing the league fixtures

Matches you are expected to fight are listed on the league page. The fixture has a default date and time. These defaults are just a suggestion. Team can agree a different time if the suggested date/time doesn’t fit. There is a ”request reschedule” feature on the fixture page. You should either confirm or request reschedule for a fixture well before the suggested time. The rules say that confirmation and selecting maps must happen at least three days before the original fixture time. The request for reschedule must happen in the same timeframe. Please make sure the fixture is confirmed in timely manner.

By default the team mentioned first in the fixture page is the ”home” team and responsible of providing a server for the match. The visiting team is responsible for checking the server settings before the match and if the server is not set properly they should ask for changes – before the match. Incorrect servers settings are not grounds for a dispute after the match.

After the match one team should enter the results to the fixture page. Enter the result of each round separately. The score entry screen is available after the scheduled time on site.

Disputing the result

If rules are broken or the match results are wrong for some other reason either team can dispute the result. The Dispute button is available on the fixture page. Please describe in detail what you are disputing and provide solid evidence supporting your dispute. If you have no evidence there is no case – not even if a rule was broken, but couldn’t be proven. Please don’t dispute a match without proper evidence to support your dispute.
